Detailed Itinery:   

Day 1:  Arrival Cambodia Border At Dom Kralor – Kratie      

Upon arrival to Cambodia border at Dom Kralor, you will be welcome by your tour guide and drive to Stung Treng town, with option to visit the Women Development Centre, Mekong Blue producing finest silk products of Cambodia, and continue to Kratie, a small town that has retained its colonial-era charm. We stop en route at Kampi and take a boat trip to see fresh-water dolphins of the Mekong. (The best time to see dolphins is during the dry season from January-August). Also visit the traditional riverside villages and enjoy a magnificent sunset along the riverbank. Overnight in Kratie

Day 2: Kratie – Mondulkiri. B

After breakfast, cycling on Koh Trong, a beautiful island in the middle of Mekong River opposite the riverfront of Kratie town. In the afternoon, we drive east to Mondulkiri, home of up to ten tribal minorities, with the majority of them is the tribe of Bunong (Phnong). Enjoy the highland scenery and later we arrive to Sen Monorom, a town of Mondulkiri. Overnight in Sen Monorom

Day 3:  Mondulkiri. B, L

Full day tour of the Mondulkiri elephant and Wildlife Sanctuary. Hike with the sanctuary herd and learn about natural elephant behavior, they are roaming freely in the forest. Care the elephants for feeding, washing and grooming them (without elephant riding). Overnight in Sen Monorom

Day 4:  Mondulkiri. B

We drive 37km to the east to Bu Sra Waterfall with stop and visit Pulung hill tribe village along the way. Bu Sra Waterfall is most impressive in Cambodia. There is an unusual double drop, plunging 15m then 30m into the jungle below. After picnic lunch at the waterfall, we return to Sen Monorom. Also visit coffee plantations which is a unique product of Mondulkiri. Overnight in Sen Monorom

Day 5:  Mondulkiri – Kampong Cham – Kampong Thom. B

After breakfast, we drive 250km to Kampong Cham, one of Cambodia’s largest towns, located on the banks of the mighty Mekong River. Visit to the unique Angkorian temple of Wat Nokor, an 11th century Mahayana Buddhist shrine built from sandstone and laterite. It was rebuilt and dedicated to Therevada Buddhism in the 15th century and today there are many Buddha images scattered throughout the complex. There is also a small contemporary Wat located within its walls. Later, we continue to Kampong Thom. Overnight in Kampong Thom.

Day 6:  Kampong Thom – Sambor Preikuk – Siem Reap. B

In the morning, We are traveling to visit to the impressive Pre-Angkorian archaeological site, Sambor Preikuk complex or Isanapura, a capital of Chenla Kingdom of 7th century. A stop will be made for your lunch at local restaurant, and continue to Siem Reap, en route, there is opportunity to pause and see the pre-Angkorian bridge of ancient road at Kompong Kdei village. Arrive Siem Reap in late afternoon and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 7:  Siem Reap – Temples Of Rolous Group, Banteay Srei. B     

In the morning, begin exploration the kingdom of Angkor by visiting the Rulous Group from the early Angkor period dating from the 9th & 10th centuries. The three temples of Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei represent the first application of the temple-mountain architectural formula on a grand scale and set the architectural stone for the next 400 years. In the afternoon, we explore the most dedicated beauty of the Khnmer temple carvings of Bantey Srei in the 11th century, and visit Banteay Samre, and continue to the three-tiered temple-hill of Pre Rup. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 8: Siem Reap – Ta Prohm, Banteay Kdei. Afternoon, Angkor Thom By Motored Remorque.  B

In the morning, exploration to Ta Keo, Chau Say Tevada, Thommanon and the impressive Ta Prohm temple, where the famous film Tomb Raider was shot and brought the Angkor Wonders to the world, and also visit Banteay Kdei, a Buddhist temple in Angkor built in middle of the 12th century to the beginning of the 13th century by king Jayavarman II.

In the afternoon, by motored-remorque (similar as Tuk Tuk in Thailand) we will explore to the kingdom of Angkor by visiting the last capital of Angkorian Empire, Angkor Thom via the South Gate, the giant stone faces city temple of Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terrace and the Lepper King Terrace. End of the day, enjoy the sunset view over Angkor Wat from the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 9:  Siem Reap – Floating Village Of Chong Knies & Angkor Wat. B

After breakfast, we travel to take the boat cruise on Tonle Sap great lake to visit the floating village of Chong Knies, on the way we stop and take a unique experience of riding on the ox-cart, a traditional transport for Cambodian people for centuries. We visit to Pour Krom Village, walking through this lovely local village to experience how local people live, and visit to a morning local market before transferring to Chong Knies village to enjoy a boat trip on Tonle Sap Great Lake. Returning back to hotel, option to relax at hotel or continue to visit the Artisans d’Angkor (stone and wood carvings) workshops to redevelop traditional Cambodian artisan skills, or explore local market at Phar Chas (old market) and arts gallery.

In the afternoon, we are continuing to visit the epic centerpiece of Angkor Wat temple with its extraordinary architecture and bas-reliefs. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 10: Siem Reap – Departure. B 

Breakfast at hotel, free time at leisure and transfer to airport for departure flight.
