Day 1: Arrival - Phnom Penh [-/L/D]

Arrive in Phnom Penh, meet & greet by guide and driver then continue to visit the most remarkable sites of Phnom Penh, the magnificent Royal Palace which still serve as resident to the highly respected Royal family and His Majesty the King Norodom Sihakmony, continue to visit the famous and sacred Silver Pagoda.

Lunch at local restaurant

In the afternoon, visit the National Museum which is the biggest collection of Khmer arts in the world, then visit the Independence Monument and continue along the French built Norodom boulevard to the historical and sacred site of Wat Phnom, a man-made historical hill found in 1372 which the city name Phnom Penh derived from.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Takeo – Kampot [B/L/D]

Heading to the outskirt of Phnom Penh to the notorious Killing Fields of Choeung Ek where a memorial stupa stands in front of the mass killing site. Now the site serves as the museum and memorial center for the victims of Pol Pot regime from 1975-1979. www.cekillingfield.com

Continue toward Takeo by National Road 2, stop en route at Tonle Bati where two Angkorian temples of Ta Prohm and Yeay Peuv stood by a lake. On the way to Takeo, visit a pre-Angkorian twin temple of Prasat Neang Khmao.

Continue along the scenic National Road 3 heading toward Kampot. Check in the hotel and free time to explore this charming little town on foot. The beauty of French colonial architecture, the promenade by the crystal clear river, this sleepy town will truly bring you back to its hey-day memories.

Check out from hotel and leave Kampot town for Sihanouk Ville with a scenic drive along the coast and Elephant mountain chain. Upon arrival in Sihanouk Ville, check in the hotel.

We go back in time to the beginning of Angkorian era by visiting the Roluos Group (Hariharalaya), which served as the capital in 9th century. Visit Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. We continue to the temple of Ta Prohm where most part of the temple covered by giant fig trees.
