Arrive in Phnom Penh, meet & greet by guide and driver then continue to visit the most remarkable sites of Phnom Penh, the magnificent Royal Palace which still serve as resident to the highly respected Royal family and His Majesty the King Norodom Sihakmony, continue to visit the famous and sacred Silver Pagoda.

In the afternoon, visit the National Museum which is the biggest collection of Khmer arts in the world, then visit the Independence Monument and continue along the French built Norodom boulevard to the historical and sacred site of Wat Phnom, a man-made historical hill found in 1372 which the city name Phnom Penh derived from.

In the morning, begin the day with a scenic drive to Udong, a former capital of the kingdom from 1618-1865. Take a light trekking to visit the Vihara of 18-cubit Buddha, a giant temple housed a huge Buddha statue built during Udong era but unfortunately destroyed by the Khmer Rouge. Continue walking on this charming historical hill, topped with many memorial stupas of Khmer kings and a huge stupa which contain Buddha relic. Descend the hill by the shady pilgrimage staircase. Stop for rest and refreshment at the bottom of the hill where you can stroll around to see local bazaar with some exotic dishes and let see if you dare enough to try those Fear Factor’s food. If time permit, take a quick look at an amazing Vibassana Dhura (Meditation Center) at the foot of the hill.
Continue along the National Road 5 toward Kampong Chhnang, “the town of clay pot” in Khmer. Visit a well-known pottery village to see the process of making earthenware products. Continue to the town of Krakor, where you will take a right turn toward the Great Lake to see the largest floating village on the Tonle Sap, Kampong Luong.

Continue with a scenic drive pass the town of Pursat, a province famous for its marble carvings. Upon arrival in Battambang, check in at hotel. Free at own leisure to explore the town that famed for its French colonial architectures.

Battambang is the second biggest city of Cambodia, however it remain calm and the atmosphere truly bring you back to the French colonial era. Battambang also known as “rice barn” of the country, the rice production of this province alone is enough to make Cambodia self-sufficient in terms of food.
Begin the day by traveling west to visit the striking hilltop pagoda of Phnom Sampeau. This massive limestone outcrop is dissected by a number of caves some more accessible than others, with some containing unexpected reminders of Cambodia’s history. During the Khmer Rouge era, some of the pagoda buildings were used as a prison and interrogation centre – victims were then pushed through a hole in the roof of a cave to fall to their deaths. Afterwards you will drive to the village of Ksach Puoy on the banks of the Sangker River. This area grows a variety of tropical fruits and after the rainy season farmers plant all kinds of vegetables along the fertile river banks, here you can learn about traditional agriculture – also a great opportunity to taste juicy oranges, sweet pineapples, and many other fruit… Not far from Ksach Puoy there is Cambodia’s first vineyard – Prasat Phnom Banan Vineyard – you will stop here for a tasty lunch comprising organic vegetables and a spot of wine tasting!
After lunch you will be shown around the vineyard and the process of producing wine in the tropics will be explained. After this enjoyable rest you will continue a few kilometers further south to the well preserved 11th century mountaintop Angkorian temple of Phnom Banan. After climbing the 350+ steps you are treated to a wonderfully peaceful setting with superb views across the surrounding countryside, with small villages dotting the endless rice paddies, punctuated with the characteristic sugar palm trees – a wonderful sunset location.

This morning we will travel by the famous Sangke River connect to The Great Lake of Tonle Sap in a journey heading toward Siem Reap. The amazing lake and river system of the Tonle Sap is unique. This huge lake, the largest in Southeast Asia, fills with the waters of the Mekong each year, bringing vast numbers of fish and irrigation during the dry season. The lake is measured by 120 kilometers at longest point and 35kilometers at widest in dry season but it swells to 200 kilometers long and 65 kilometers wide in monsoon season makes the covering area up to 16,000 square kilometers which is 6 times of its dry season size. The Mekong replenish the water through the reverse Tonle Sap River filled up the lake and flooded the forest around it make it the perfect spawning ground for large amount of fish.
An early start as your encounter with Battambang begins with what is possibly the most fascinating journey in Cambodia. This journey takes 6 to 10 hours depend on season and the range of sights experienced is incredible. Throughout the journey you pass through intriguing floating villages and are surrounded by timeless scenes. As you enter the Great Lake, you pass the protected wetland of Prek Toal, which is home to over 120 species of water and forest birds, some endangered. After a delightful journey you will arrive in Chong Kneas floating village which you will disembark the boat at the port and will be transfer to hotel in Siem Reap.

We go back in time to the beginning of Angkorian era by visiting the Roluos Group (Hariharalaya), which served as the capital in 9th century. Visit Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei.

We continue to the temple of Ta Prohm where most part of the temple covered by giant fig trees. The tentacle-like tree roots here are slowly strangling the surviving stones, man first conquering nature to build, nature later conquering man to destroy and it is the war that is not measured by days but by centuries. Continue to the temple of Takeo, one of the tallest temples of the Angkor complex. Visit the ancient bridge built across Siem Reap River, the Chau Say Tevoda and the Thommanon before returning to town.

Begin exploring the hidden treasure of Angkor by visiting the holy capital of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Thom, via the South Gate, the giant stone faces temple of Bayon, a center temple with its 54 four-faces-towers represent the 54 states of the Empire, visit Baphuon known as “The giant stone jigsaw puzzles” to the French school of the Far East which was in charge of the restoration, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of Leper King.

Visit the masterpiece of the Khmers, Angkor Wat, with its extraordinary architecture and bas-reliefs. Spend the whole afternoon in this mother-of-temples, not only known as the Khmer pride and symbol, as you can see in the flag of Cambodia, but also known to the world as World’s Largest Religious Monument.
End of the day, enjoy the breathtaking sunset view over Angkor Wat from the top of Phnom Bakheng Hill.

Begin the day by traveling South of Siem Reap town, stop at a local village where we board traditional ox-cart for a 2 kilometers ride through typical countryside village with beautiful Khmer wooden houses and rice paddy field. Stop at Wat Athvea to visit this ancient temple constructed in late 11th century by King Suryavarman II.
Visit the Silk Farm of Puok, where you can witness the silk production from beginning with Silkworm to finished product of fine silk clothes. Visit Artisans D’Angkor, the center for fine handicraft productions.
Getting back for hotel check out and transfer to airport for departure flight.
